"Endoscopy Department Top Class"

I visited the Endoscopy dept. on 13072015. The appointment was for a colonoscopy, I had already been to a pre appointment meeting and was given plenty of information on how to prepare for the examination I was about to have. I have to say that the staff were all amazing. They all took time to ensure that I knew the procedure and in what order things would happen. I was informed that I was in charge and that if I wanted anything to say, i.e. if I wanted to stop, more or less pain relief. I was also advised in a good natured way what to expect whilst the procedure was being carried out. During the procedure I was able to talk to the staff and was given full information about how the examination was going, and was able to see the examination on a screen. This was all very reassuring. Following the examination the recovery experience was great, as I was allowed to relax with a cup of coffee and a sandwich. I was then given most of the results in private by a nurse, who again was superb, showing their enthusiasm for the work of the whole team. In short a superb team and a 5 star experience. I must also mention the car park staff who are always helpful, and the volunteers in recovery who are really good people, thank you.
