"Oral Lichen Planus"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

Having been convinced by dentist and internet scrutiny that my oral lichen planus was untreatable I was getting to the point of desperation as the pain in my gums and cheeks was such as to deter me from eating. I finally got an appointment to see a consultant last week. They prescribed rinsing 4 times daily with a steroid disolved in water. After four days of a 28 day course the result is almost miraculous. If the rate of improvement continues as at present my mouth will be back to normal in a week. The affect of the treatment isn't guarnateed and doesn't always work, etc., etc.,. I can't tell you how good I feel right now. Thanks Maxillofacial at the Proncess Royal
