Hi in these days of criticism of our National Health Service I would like to give it a ' pat on the back' ! Due to an accident on my pedal cycle on 1st June I was diagnosed with a fractured elbow and head of humorous at West Cornwall Hospital. ( Review previously submitted ) I was referred to Royal Cornwall Hospital on Monday 6th June for a further scan and on Tuesday 7th for assessment in the fracture clinic. As I expected it was manic with patients and staff everywhere. However I was seen within a half hour of my appointment time which I considered very acceptable. All staff I came into contact with were so helpful and the continuity brilliant. Discussion with the consultant was very clear and informative and their manner and the way they carefully explained the options for my further treatment left me in no doubt. As I am in extreme pain at the moment their reassurance put me totally at ease. Discussions are now under way with a view to having an operation in the near future. As previously mentioned all treatment was second to none. Please convey my thanks to all who assisted me in the two days - I look forward to seeing you again soon!
