What I liked

Ipswich is a very user friendly hospital, I have never been in in patient, however my many appointments for myself or children have been very good. Some parts of East Suffolk have real trouble with modern access to services so to be able to use Ipswich Hospital easily is very important.

What could be improved

Complaint handling outside the hospital itself needs to be looked at very carefully - as for some patients they perhaps should have treatment in their own community. However when they can't get that the hospital is famous for stepping in and helping the public to sort out problems. Huge management salaries need to be diverted into medical care, the East of England Strategic Health Authority is not listening to the public or medical teams.

Anything else?

On the many times my family have been desperate for care, prior to being able to move GP practice, this hospital has been instrumental in sorting out problems both for myself and my children. I hope Whitehall stops making awful decisions for Suffolk not based on consulting either the public or the medical profession. Ipswich is a modern hospital with excellent medical staff.
