Not happy with the way my nan has been treated in Milton Ward, Medway Maritime Hospital.
She was admitted in early June with Asperated phemonia told on day 3 she needed an echo cardiogram. Had to keep asking why it's not been done only to be told there chasing every 2 days. This is not acceptable.
They changed her painkiller medication and had to monitor it due to her liver, but what effect is it having on her heart? Over two weeks on, it has still not been done, appalling service!
Asperated yesterday and found my nan asleep in bed. Could see blood gasses were done and monitored but not currently when we arrived, nan with a temperature of 38. 2 delirious, questioned staff and doctors an asked them to take obs again whilst us there. Sats were 86 was told by the nurse was a little low, they didn't realise I had medical knowledge and told them that's too low she needed oxygen.
They then put her on it, so sats fluctuate from 91 to 94 acceptable with a suspected chest infection. Then proceeded to administer treatment iv antibiotics fluids and paracetamol for temperature. Now my concern is if we did not turn up how long would she have been left like that without oxygen? I have no faith in this ward at all
"How long would she have been left without oxygen?"
