"You get options here"

About: Options for Independence (Care Home)

(as a service user),

It’s been a positive experience at Options for Independence. I’ve been coming here for nine years and it was a big change between children’s services and adult services.

Children’s services was all about everyone going out on a trip together. You weren’t asked. But here you get the option whether you want to do things or not. If you want to do something specific, like going to watch a football game, you just ask staff a week before you come and they can organise it.

I like the fact that if you want your own space you can just go to your house and do whatever you want; be it watch TV or listen to music or sit with your Ipad you can.

Even though I come once a month I’m not here long enough to see if there’s any changes needed to make it better. I’m very happy with the service that gets provided.
