"Extremely uncaring and unhelpful doctor"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

I have had good experiences at the Utgent Care unit at the PRU before, despite being extremely busy on previous visits, it has been efficient and I felt cared for, but not today. My daughter had a severe hayfever reaction 7pm yesterday and having used Puriton to the max over night and breathing became difficult due to blocked nostrils I decided that we had better seek medical advice. The unit was quiet on our arrival at 5am and the receptionist and triage nurse booked us in efficiently, to our surprise there was barely any waiting around. However, the doctor that called us in was clear in letting us know we were an inconvenience to their sleep. They called my daughter by her surname, nothing of care or sympathy displayed, nor anything resembling friendliness or smile was offered, basic examination as was carried out (a repeat of procedure by the triage nurse) and we were told the following: "It is 5am and no pharmacy was open and I can't offer you anything, just go to the GP in the morning, I am not a replacement for your GP." I pressed further for advice but got told plainly that they could offer nothing. I had already given Puriton in the last 12 hours to bring down swelling of her eyes and needed advice on when to do as swelling had started up again and she couldn't breathe easily and hence couldn't sleep. Nothing was offered and I see little point of the service if that is the "care" on offer.
