"Dexa Scan"

About: Broomfield Hospital

I had an appointment for a Dexa Scan yesterday morning (10 June). On arriving at the hospital I went to the Outpatients Reception Desk to check in. I was then told there was no record for my appointment and it showed on the screen that the patient had cancelled this appointment on 13 May which was totally incorrect as I had sent an email reply on 11 May to say that I would be able to attend the appointment given to me. Fortunately I had printed a copy of my reply which I was able to show the Receptionist. I was then taken round to the Dexa Scan waiting room and within a few minutes somebody called me through and apologised for what had happened and that they would squeeze me in as quickly as possible. I returned to the waiting room and by 11.10 am I was called through for my Dexa Scan. The two members of staff I saw were lovely and I am very grateful for all they did. Can I please just ask that email replies to the Appointments Centre are checked more thoroughly as it is much easier to reply by email rather than trying to get through on the phone lines. Thank you.

I have forwarded your feedback to the Dexa Scan Team and Outpatient Manager. We really appreciate all comments, thank you.
