"Infant X-ray clinic"

About: Sandhills Nursery

(as a parent/guardian),

My16 month old daughter was due a follow up X-ray for her hips this month. Having not had an appointment through and knowing that I am pregnant again and as such cannot go into X-ray with her I called the hospital in early May to get the process rolling so I could arrange for someone else to attend the appointment with me. Cue 4 weeks of chasing for an appointment to be told there were no appointments till September for an X-ray, that a receptionist would call me back multiple times and finally going through the details with the consultants secretary I managed to book an appointment with a lovely gentleman in the booking dept for the same week. I was a bit taken aback by the phone call I received the next day telling me that yes my daughter did need to be seen (I knew that 6 months ago), no I couldn't go in the X-ray (I'm pretty sure I told them that) and that an appointment had been made (the letter never arrived by the way).

Upon seeing the consultant I couldn't have any more praise, he went through the X-ray results with me and also advised on checks being required for my new baby and also for my children's children in the future. This clinic is a much better way of doing things as it saves parents unnecessary worry, time at the hospital etc.
