"Absolute disgrace !"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

I have lost all faith in this hospital,my father in law went back and forth to his Gp for 16 weeks complaining of stomach pains in which he kept getting pain killers, eventually paid private because our nhs was rubbish , to be told he has acute local pancreatic cancer , on Thursday 28 th may he went to dryburn after sitting for 4 hours and my partner reading the notes which told them it was cancer, the staff didn't even have the decentsy to tell them, he was sent home with a prescription which was all written wrong , and told to attend an appointment Tuesday 2 Nd June with the consultant to discuss possible treatment , they turned up at dryburn to be told " your appointment has been cancelled " and sent away , the said te consultant would be in touch Thursday 4 th , after waiting and waiting they rang the hospital 3 times and was told they would ring back the same on Friday , it is now Sunday and still nothing , he has deteriorated rapidly , and we as a family feel so let down he was fit and healthy and could of fought as much as he could given the chance , I feel he is just another number in that joke of a hospital ! And would like to ask them personally how Would they feel if it was one of your family!!!! Would rather travel miles away than be sent here !!!
