"Discharging of patients"

My dad had a major stroke and was in the stroke rehabillation unit. His key worker and occupational therapist have made no attempts to help him in any way so that he can become independent before coming back home. The whole department is just keen to clear hospital beds and send people home without discussing anything with the family or having anything in place such as care in the home! They are happy to keep people there who are less sick and independent. I thought hospitals were meant to look after sick people! Appalling service!!
