I was recently admitted for 24 hours for a uterine artery embolization. I came at 7 in the morning to the day ward where I was checked in by the nurses who were very nice. At around 1030, I was brought up to theatre by a very cheerful porter. A cannula was inserted into my right hand painlessly by a very gentle nurse and various antibiotics and painkillers were given before the procedure. I felt very well looked after and safe during the procedure and my pain management by the team was excellent. After some recovery time, I was brought down to ward 3D. The health care assistants and nurses were very helpful. I went home next day thinking that went a lot better than I expected it to mainly because of the fantastic care I received.
