I started to bleed severly that i was rushed into elsdon ward. I had misscarried at 14+2. I cannot fault the treatmemt i recieved. The staff were amazing and fast to treat me. I was included in every decision that was made and well informed of what would be happening to me. I was kept overnight for observation and in severe pain. The sympathy and concern from all the nurses and midwives and gyneacologists were outstanding. I was afraid to come to the hospital due to the negative reviews i heard but i must say that the service and treatment is definitley 5stars. The wards were always clean. I was wiped down on a regular basis due to the blood that kept coming out. My bedding was changed on a regular basis too. I did see how busy Elsdon ward was and the short staff but have to take my hat off to the staff. They worked at a rapid pace to ensure we were all well looked after, tolerated some rudeness from some patients yet always served with a smile. Thank you to all who cared for me while i was there. I woild definitlet reccommend basildon hospital to anyone. I was in ward G bed A. Tammy Perestrelo
