I waited 7 weeks from the date my appointment letter was sent to the date of the appointment itself. I can't remember how long the letter had taken to arrive in the first place. Treatment was discussed at the appointment and I was told to make a second appointment to commence treatment in 1-2 weeks and in the meantime have bloods done. There was an issue booking the appointment at the time due to lack of appointment slots so I was told someone would be in touch. I called twice to chase this up and was told I'd be called when sorted. I called a third time and was told the appointment had been booked in the day before. I asked why I hadn't been contacted and was told they weren't sure. No apology or even a little bit of faked interest from the staff member on the phone. I attended my second appointment which was with a different consultant and was told the correct bloods hadn't been ordered so I would need repeat bloods and to make another appointment for the next available slot at clinic. The next available slot is in 4 weeks. So I will be 13 weeks and counting since referral with no treatment started. I notice on negative reviews comments keep being made about calling to discuss. Theres not really anything to discuss for the most part is there? You quite obviously just don't have the staff or the administrative system in place to meet demand.
