"Neglecting and unprofessional treatment"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) (London)

Was scheduled for a simple surgery in February and asked to arrive early in the morning after fasting. The staff forgot about me in the waiting room, despite my constant approaches to them, and I was left there until Midday, when they came to apologise for the mistake and finally took me in. As I was put on medication 8 weeks before the surgery, the same medication (or stronger) should have been prescribed after it. I was given much weaker medication (I suspect they didn't bother checking what I was on before) and sent home with no explanation or information re what to expect. A follow up appointment was meant to be scheduled for 8 weeks after the operation, but received it for 9 weeks after. Ended up going to A&E a week after the surgery as pain & bleeding got worse. After inspection the staff realised the medication wasn't strong enough nor sufficient. Was given the right medication & promised to be seen again in 1 week time, but that appointment never arrived. The appointment scheduled for 9 weeks after also got cancelled last minute as there are 'not enough Doctors' and they promised to call back with a new appointment - but never did. Will have to attend A&E again as my recovery isn't going well and I am still suffering from pain & bleeding which isn't normal for 9 weeks post-operation. Was shocked and appalled at the way I was mistreated and neglected from the very beginning until today.
