My mother-in-law suffered a stroke on Sunday afternoon. The 999 response team were at her home within 10 mins both paramedics and ambulance. Excellent job. Help was on hand the minute she arrived at Queens and taken straight to resus unit. The treatment she received was absolutely first class. Within 1 hr 16 mins she'd been scanned, diagnosed and transferred straight to a bed in HASU. While everybody was exceptional, special mention must be made for a nurse and the doctor. She's still there but has been transferred to Harvest Ward B where she is receiving excellent, appropriate care.
"Well done Queens!"
