"Appreciation for a fantastic service"

I visited the Minor Injuries Unit on Sunday with my elderly uncle after being referred by the NHS 111 service. I had called 111 for advice as my uncle was very confused. I received a callback from a senior nurse withing 15 minutes of my inital call and she made us an appointment for the following day. We attended Northwich Victoria Infirmary for a planned appointment at 9.30am and we were seen within 30 minutes. The Dr on Duty was extremely efficient and thorough. They took the time to talk to us and we were not made to feel rushed or a nuisance. The doctor was very pleasant and examined my uncle and carried out tests whilst keeping us informed of what he was doing. The doctor talked to my uncle in a caring and genuine manner and they managed to put both our minds at rest. Although there was no immediate need for further medical attention the doctor e-mailed my uncle's g.p to recommend further tests. This was also done very promptly and by the time we contacted the g.p surgery the next morning the e-mail with full details of our visit had arrived so they had all the necessary information. We would like to thank all staff at the hospital for efficient and courteous service but feel this doctor needs a particular mention for his patience and understanding at a difficult time. The staff from NHS 111 were also very helpful and efficient.
