"Recovery after thyroidectomy"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

I have just left hospital after having a thyroidectomy. I was on ward 307. The care and support i received were excellent,i did become upset when i couldnt come home due to having a drain in my neck but was supported by all the staff and they came to talk to me all the time giving me reassurance when i needed it most. One nurse was especially helpful and had a lovely personality which shone through. The food was excellent i was so surprised because i didnt know what to expect but it was lovely and had plenty of choice, lemon sponge and custard became my favourite!

Dear Ms Davies Many thanks for your kind comments recently posted on the NHS Choices website regarding your recent stay with us on Ward 307. It is always nice to receive positive feedback and we will certainly ensure this is shared with all the relevant staff as we are sure they also will be most appreciative. Many thanks once again for taking the time to provide us with this valuable feedback and may we take the opportunity to wish you very best wishes for the future. Kind regards The Patient Experience Team for Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
