"Excellent community service"

About: West Mendip Community Hospital

I visited Glastonbury Minor Injury Unit today after sustaining an injury overseas last week for a dressing change. The treatment overseas had been extremely painful and I was very apprehensive. The wait was an hour as indicated to me by the receptionist on arrival. However I would have happily waited longer the excellent treatment I received. The staff were friendly, reassuring and sympathetic. Their careful approach to dressing my injury, their knowledge and the advice they gave me was much appreciated. Their professional and caring manner gave me confidence in the care I was receiving. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your kind comments, following treatment at one of our community health MIU departments. It is always lovely to receive such positive feedback about our services, and I will be very happy to share your experience with the Head of Division, Manager of the service, and the lead nurse for West Mendip MIU, who will be delighted to cascade the comments to all staff involved. if you wish to contact the Trust again in the future, please do not hesitate, the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, PALS, will be very happy to assist you. with kind regards Karen Howard-Grenville
