My father in law has been admitted to Gloucester Royal twice in short period of time. The staff were uncaring, distintersed and had little grasp of my father in laws circumstances. The wards, all 4 were unclean. There was blood on beds and arms of chairs. The floors unclean and legs of the bed trays covered in dirty marks. This was after a cleaner had been round. A patient was left to struggle out of bed to eat his meal when he had asked for help and told to wait. He did wait 10 minutes and recieved no help. It is no wonder the hospital is struggling with the Noro Virous. The anti bacterial dispensers were empty on a number of visits. So could not disinfect my hands. The men's toilets at the enterence were so bad my husband could not bring himself to use them. Is it normal to allow 6 visitors to one patient ! I have been to Cheltnham hospital and can not speak highly enough of staff and cleanliness
