I visited A and E after sustaining a fall,with a suspected broken ankle. I was seen by a nurse practitioner,sent to x ray., plastered and seen by an orthopaedic surgeon,with a full explanation of my ankle injury (which turned out to be broken) all within 4 hours. I returned to see the fracture clinic a week later and was admitted for an operation, which was carried out the following day. I was treated very well by everyone from doctors, nurses,ancillary staff and domestics. The meals also deserve a mention,they were hot,tasty and adequate portions. I am now recovering and couldn't have had better treatment or so quickly if paying for private treatment. Thank you to all Frances Read
