"Completely Disatisfied."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I am incredibly dissatisfied. I have not been allowed to change my appointments straight away, being told I have to wait until the appointment is generated, and then I can change it. This has lead to me cancelling a lot as it doesn't fit in with my shift pattern at work. The Receptions advised that I would be discharged if this continues - the Doctor and their Nurse advised me differently and told me the Receptionist shouldn't have said that. I have been told if miss another appointment (one that I have had no notification of). I want the Doctors Support Secretary twice. The first time, despite them telling me they would ring back after looking into it, they didn't ring back. When I rang them, they were rude and unhelpful, and did not listen. They had not looked into it, and speculated what the reason was. I challenged this, but they wouldn't listen. I stated several times that I had no knowledge of the most recent appointment - they did not acknowledge this, nor did they look into this. I asked for their name several times. They would not give me their name and put the phone down when I asked for their name for the third time. How is this acceptable?

Thank you for this feedback. It appears from your account that something has gone wrong in this case – however as you would expect we would like to look into this further for you. If this was for a new appointment then it may have gone through the Central Appointments Office. If it was a follow-up appointment then it should have been given at the time, by reception, with a choice of appointment times. If you would like to contact us so we can get the information we need in order to provide the answers you deserve, you can call 0115 9249924 ext. 67184 or email sarah.kennedy@nuh.nhs.uk.
