"Day Procedures Unit - Gastroenterology"

About: Solihull Hospital

On 31st March I attended the Day Procedures Unit at Solihull Hospital for a Colonoscopy test. I was worried about having the test but the skill and expertise of the doctor and staff put me completely at ease. I elected to have mild sedation and experienced no more than brief, slight discomfort. I was kept well informed during the test and included in any discussion. Afterwards I was taken to a rest area and subsequently advised of the results and given a written report. The department appeared to have a heavy workload but I was treated with the utmost patience, care and kindness throughout. The following day I received a follow-up phone call from one of the staff asking if all was well. I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment and courtesy I received from start to finish. We are lucky to have the NHS and its dedicated staff! My thanks to all.

Dear Sir or Madam

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback following your recent experience at Solihull Hospital for a colonoscopy investigation.

I am so pleased to read that you felt supported throughout and well informed by our staff

who do work very hard to ensure a positive patient experience regardless of how busy their workload is.

I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to the Unit Manager and their team, who I'm sure will be thrilled to read your comments, which I hope is acceptable.

Once again, thank for your feedback and please contact us if you require any other assistance.

Kind Regards
