my wife was referred to this dept in nov 2015 for a second opinion and then sent for a ct scan which went as planned but the doctor told my wife they would see her before she saw her consultant again as they needed to review her case so they could pass on info to her consultant, but no follow up appointment has arrived, my wife saw her consultant and was told that her case had to be seen by the doctor who gave the second opinion, this was a problem because in the weeks leading up to the appointment i rang the hospital on numerous occasions to find out about an appointment only to be cut off ,told that the doctors secretary was not in til wednesdays, my wifes appointment was in the post and finally that the doctor doesnt work at medway maritime any more. we went back to see one of my wife consultants staff last week and was told that the doctor did not work here any more which we already knew and that my wife would be getting an appointment urgently. this begs me to ask if the doctor does not work at the hospital anymore as many staff have told us why wasnt my wifes case passed onto another doctor or do we just wait until she is admitted to a&e. this has led me to contact pals who told me to make an official complaint which i am and to see our gp to see if we can be referred to another hospital because the plan at this one seems to be let someone else sort her out its not our problem
