About: Bmi - The Somerfield Hospital

I chose Somerfield hospital in January 2015 and got my initial Consultation on 3rd February 2015. I have two frozen shoulders so I am unable to work, dress myself or preform everyday tasks. I was told that my operation would be as soon as possible because I am affected in both shoulders. I was very disappointed to be given an operation date of 13th April. My husband and daughter booked time off work to take care of me after the operation. I got a telephone call on 17th March saying the operation could not be done on that date because my consultant was on call for the NHS that day. (Why was that date booked then?) There was no apology in fact I was made to feel guilty that I was not happy about the change. I have now been rescheduled for the 27th April 2015. If I had known it was going to take so long I would have selected another hospital. As it is my husband and daughter will have to change time of work and I may have to change my holiday abroad if I am not well enough by then.
