"Very lovely midwife"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I suffered from pre eclampsia during my second pregnancy... I was monitored for 24 hours before they decided to induce me. All the midwives on the Nettleham ward were excellent. I went up to the labour ward once my labour had progressed, the room I was taken to was lovely and spacious and I was greeted by my midwife. They informed me that they were changing over from the morning staff to the afternoon and I could not have wished for a better midwife to come onto shift and deliver my baby. They were so helpful, caring and considerate and whilst I had an awful birth they were very reassuring and helped put myself and my partner at ease. I stayed in the labour ward for 24 hours with 1:1 midwife care and my partner was allowed to stay with me the whole time, they were all so lovely, and the doctors that I saw too were just as great with me. When I was being sent back to the Nettleham ward the midwife sent me down with a sandwich for myself and my partner and showed me to my room in Nettleham ward. I had 4 additional days on the ward and all the midwives were excellent! What turned out to be a horrendous labour was made so much better by all staff on both wards. Thank you to all staff!
