Admitted to A& e with chest pain in December, I had to wait approximately 2 hours to be seen which was the only negative of the whole experience. I was then admitted to m. a. u, where the kindness care and compassion was amazing. Linda the night nurse was amazing and explained everything.
There were lots of frail elderly ladies who were treated with dignity and respect, nursing care was excellent. I then went to ward 31 after initially being diagnosed as a heart attack, where again the professional nursing care from the whole team was excellent, the nurses and auxiliaries were amazing and attentive despite being extremely busy. Dr Khan and his team of medics were professional, compassionate and very reassuring, frequently explaining everything as I was very anxious.
Dr Khan arranged for an angiogram to be performed at Stoke on Trent, so I could avoid a lengthy wait for the procedure in Manchester. and to obtain confirmation of diagnosis which was myocarditis. Again I believe the team went above and beyond norm to help me.
I will be eternally grateful for all of the care I received and the kindness from all of the staff including the ambulance team, the porters, technicians medical and nursing staff. Sorry it has take me 3 months to write this but I thank you all so very much.
I'm sorry I can't remember all of you're names but thank you again for you're hard work and dedication. Whilst I was an inpatient I witnessed 2 lives literally being saved due to respiratory distress. Thank you all for everything.
"I am eternally grateful"
