"Excellent care with teams working impressively..."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My teenage daughter had cause to visit A&E, the Children's Assessment Unit and Ward 14 several times during January owing to complications from an unusual condition. The care given by all the doctors and nurses was excellent, both medically and in terms of kindness. The communication of the doctors working in different specialities was also impressive. Though the origin of the pain wasn't formally diagnosed and appeared to self-limit after a week or so, the staff did everything they could to eliminate different possibilities. I think this is an example of how excellent the NHS can be.

Dear Christina, Thank you for posting this review about your daugther's experience. It's never nice to see your child in pain or in hospital, no matter how old they get! We are delighted to hear that each team, and individual member of staff, showed Caring at its Best! We have passed this onto the ward managers and team leaders to share with the wider teams. Wishing you all the best Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
