"Not overly impressed with the referral service"

About: Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust / Community physiotherapy Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

Sorry chaps but this is my experience! I was referred by my GP on 0ct 3rd to TRAQS and I heard nothing until I rang TRAQS on 17th December (? ) (Having ascertained from the hospital that the referral had been made. ) At that point TRAQS appeared to have no record of a referral on their system, however I received a call just after Christmas from Newport cottage Physio to arrange an appointment (I had actually requested PRH). I have been there for physio and have been extremely impressed with the physio care which has been most helpful. She did say their waiting time was 2/52.

Electronic systems are supposed to prevent having to ring surgeries to ensure referrals have been made and in addition I have in fact now been on two waiting lists – so not overly impressed.

Thank you for taking the time to provide the TRAQS team with feedback of your experience.

I am disappointed to read your comments but note that you make no mention of TRAQS having contacted you directly. Any patient registered with a GP practice in the Newport area is often referred to Newport Physio on the instructions on their GP practice and therefore TRAQS do not contact them to discuss Choice, however, we do send a letter advising the patient of what their GP has requested and where their referral has been sent.

As all coments on Patient Opinion are anonymous I am unable to look into what happened to your referral without specific personal information.
