Atrocious "customer service". Reception was good, efficient and kind, but then it was downhill from then on. Left in major injuries unit for 2 hours with no update. Finally spoke to the sister in charge who was kind enough to give us some information. Nurse assigned to us seemed quite disengaged and the general attitude of staff in the unit was one of wanting to be elsewhere. 10 people approx in the unit and on average only 2 where ever engaging with a patient in any way. I got more acknowledgement from the cleaner who came round twice. The nurse inserted an IV with little skill or gentleness, into a vein on the wrist, and managed to leak blood over the floor while they looked for a drip hose. Waited another 45 min before a doctor turned up. A nice person who looked tired. Overall a sobering and disappointing experience. I understood as weer were leaving that many is the nurses were agency nurses but this unfortunately still doesn't excuse poor patient care.
"poor patient care @ a&e"
