I had day surgery 27 Feb. The gynaecologist although very friendly didn't at all seem confident about the procedure they were about to perform. That filled me with fear! Woke up very groggy due to multiple pain relief opiates etc and couldn't keep my eyes open! Was being sick, couldn't keep water down, cold and shakey, had no OBS done since arriving back on ward. Was discharged in this state as there was no overnight bed for me. I was sent home with a pile of sick bowls, box of tissues and wipes, wheelchair to the car where it took hours to get home as we had to stop nearly every ten mins to be sick! I couldn't hold a full bowl of sick I couldn't keep my eyes open so that was distracting my partner from the actual driving. Thank goodness the nurse had written my medication instructions in the bag with the prescription as I have no recollection of what they were telling me to do with it all! I was absolutely in no fit state to have been discharged!
