"A very unhappy patient and family"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

My father was admitted to this hospital in January to have a tumour removed. The whole experience has been nothing but a nightmare and it just keeps going on and on. There seems to big a issue with communication and when we brought this up with the consultant this evening in A&E ( our 2nd visit in 12 days) he agreed that this is a big problem within the trust. How anyone can expect to treat a patient with in complete medical notes I do not understand. From our experience's over the last 6 weeks my father has not received great care because of this. My father is very much old school and doesn't want to cause a fuss but even he is starting to begin to realise that things are not right and is finding it very hard to cope the situation. We as a family have decided to lodge a formal complaint it may not help my father but hopefully it may go towards helping another patient.
