"Breast lump fear allayed"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

I have just come from Nottingham City Hospital Breast Institute, where my fears about a breast lump being cancerous have been put to rest. I have to congratulate the staff there on the excellent service they run. This is the third visit I have made with a breast lump and each time, the service has improved noticeably. I was relieved that the majority of the staff who dealt with me were women - one male consultant observed at the end. I was seen quickly and all of the staff were extremely professional, kind and solicitous to explain their actions and give advice. I cried all the way home with relief, but I do want to applaud our wonderful NHS for such fantastic service!
