"Unacceptable treatment"

About: Morriston Hospital

(as the patient),

Care I received can be viewed as clinical negligence. Under care of Morriston Hospital, Swansea (outpatients). I waited one year for inpatient overnight tests, investigations. I rung consultants secretary after 1 year to find out when/why I was waiting so long? Was told by consultant there was a long waiting list. But 1 year is wrong. Totally unacceptable. . Didn't get anywhere. So rang NHS complaints line. Person said this has got too be sorted it is totally unacceptable. I was hopeful. 2 weeks later same person told me well nothing, but confirmed there is a long waiting list and that was it! No solution offered. Nothing changed! Whole point of complaint line is too resolve complaint! They told me I don't know when you will have the tests. And you will get an appointment too be reassessed by consultant, which I could of arranged myself. I asked when will I get appointment. Reply was in the near future. Grrr. My health whilst waiting got so bad. I started losing will too live. I considered suicide ( not that low now). Delay in tests meant delay in treatment and diagnoses. I could of taken my own life. It got that bad. Told them this when I complained. Made no difference. That is cruel and humane. Complaints person said if you feel that way go see G. P. which I had. And was prescribed antidepressents.

I've got no history of depression! When you wait one year for consultant ordered tests and your quality of life get soon low, you consider legal suicide. Because daily living has become unbearable is awful. Then too complain and nothing changes is a crime against human rights. I've lost respect for NHS.
