I had a minor heart attack but on a Friday!! I was stabilised Friday evening at the QMC and was monitored over night. I was then moved from QMC to City Saturday afternoon. I was treated Monday afternoon with a coronary angioplasty and had a stent fitted and was kept in overnight. I was then released Tuesday morning.
My treatment was excellent, the staff were brilliant.
The whole hospital system in Nottingham needs looking at by someone with some idea of what life is about. The car parking at City is expensive and the coronary unit is right in the centre of the hospital. Why wasn’t it put near a car park so people who are treated or need after care don’t have to walk miles of corridors?(or is it that the planners have never had heart problems?)
