I collapsed at home and spent a night at City Hospital for observation and tests. I thought the service was good and the meals were very good. There was enough staff and the doctor was polite and sympathetic. The service was grand and I have no objections.
However, my wife collapsed at home with a water infection as she was to QMC. I thought my wife would be put on a general ward but she was put on the ENT ward. I thought this was strange, I don’t know whether they didn’t have enough beds or not. My wife would not eat any of the food as she did not like it, so I asked the sister if I could cook my wife’s meals and she agreed.
Also the parking at QMC is difficult. I have arthritis in my leg so I can’t walk far and since they shut the multi story you have to park out of the city in the park and ride. They put a bus on which is good but it is an extra hassle when you go to the hospital.
