"sad state"

mainly on how sad the state of affairs our nhs is in, so not entirely their fault, my dad was taken into A and E Tuesday evening, can't thank the ambulance crew enough, who came, yet my dad had to wait 6 hours for a cubicle, with his breathing condition, had to walk to a side ward to get his blood tests, with no portable oxygen same at 10.30 pm when they wheeled him into xray, and back to cubicle ! and they wondered why his stats dropped again.....no beds on ACU or Lamb ward where they know his history! thank fully it was not a clot in his left leg. finally was found a bed in the surgical day ward at 1.30 pm ! then moved into the 2012 ward Thursday morning, was deemed well enough to come home, but despite being his registered carer, was still kicked off ward, after asking if I could be put onto the transport with him to come home. I thought he would be brought home in an ambulance and helped upstairs with oxygen.... no he was put onto a minibus ambulance, with other patients, with no secondary helper on board, so he was dropped off in the cold and had to walk to our security door/ porch unaided... of which I'm not very happy about, and feel like telling the Hackney Gazette about this
