"A second horrible experience I had at whipps cross..."
About: Whipps Cross University Hospital Whipps Cross University Hospital E11 1NR
I really wanted to write my reviews about whipps cross hospital in maternity section. It really needs to improve especially their staff (nurses and midwives). I had my first boy 6years ago with c-section.This was my second child's birth and I wanted to have with normal delivery with apidural injection.First of all they didn't have any trained lady who could insert apidural. They have more male staff rather then female which is according to my religious belief it was against and also it was such a embarecment to having a male doctor during my baby's birth. It was extra pressure and stress on my head.Even I have requested long time ago a female doctor.but it wasn't provided.Midwife wasn't friendly at all.i couldn't sleep for two nights in hospital and of course they didn't let me eat much.So I was lake of energy during last time of my baby's birth.they gave me apidural couple of times top up but at the end they refused to give me.I cried,I was begging for it,anything I could do to give me more top up.Staff was so horrible they didn't give me at all.after all my screaming one midwife heard me and came over and ask them to give me more top up.But they told her off and refused.so with lots of stress I couldn't deliver my baby as normal and end up they took me for forceps delivery with big cuts. But that time they gave me big top up of apidural.why they are giving me now? Why they didn't give me when I was begging them. Anyway most horrible experience was when they shift me in box room upstairs (magnolia ward )with no windows opening cause of building work they sealed them. I stayed on my bed for over night with sack of urine.its been changed once.second time during day I felt sick and felt infection in passing urine.when I looked down the sack was completely full and it was coming backwards. So I rang the bell and one a nurse arrived and I explained to them my condition. they were such a horrible person I ever met in my life. Rather then to change the sack they pulled harshly the tube and said to me now you can go toilet by yourself.i was shocked with crying and they left me.when I ttried to get up after few minutes later and walk towards toilet.I passed lots of blood on floor and quickly sat down in miserable condition. Secondly I pressed the bell if someone could change my baby who was crying for long.I had canola on my hand with drip and also had so many stitches as well.so in evening same member of staff came and told me off.then they pulled my canola and left me with bruises and blood. They said to me now you change your baby. I wish I could remember their name and could make a complain but I was so happy with my baby and I forgot all pain. My question is if you are not interested in this profession then why you chosse this.of you can't help anyone why you are here as a nurse? maternity ward nurses really need further training at least they treat people as a
