"Trip to A and E"

About: Darent Valley Hospital

I took my husband to A and E today after suffering a sever break to his elbow and also a broken ankle the A and E staff were amazing. He was seen very quickly and although this is the beginning of a long road as he faces surgery possibly in the morning I cannot fault the hospital the staff and the cleanliness of A and E. One senior Nurse stayed behind on her shift to care for my husband and another nurse was amazing to us all. Above and beyond came to mind tonight. Darent cared for my mother previously a number of times when she had terminal cancer and then my dad who suffered dementia and could be challenging and I never left feeling we were just a number in a waiting room. Thank you to all the staff on duty tonight 7.2.15 for all your care. I would not go to any other hospital and I have experience of others in the south east and they could learn some valuable lessons from Darent

Thank you for your lovely comments regarding different family members experiences at Darent Valley Hospital, it is always so rewarding for the staff to read comments such as this. We do hope that your husband is not in too much discomfort and we have passed your thoughtful feedback about his experiences onto the A&E department. With best wishes The Communication Team Darent Valley Hospital
