"Didn't listen at all"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Feel like everything I said to the doctor went in one ear and out the other. Despite there being no history of migraines in my family and several of my more severe and bothersome symptoms being unexplainable by migraines, he fobbed me off with migraines caused by hormonal problems as soon as he glanced at the letter from my GP saying they thought it was that. In that case why bother seeing a specialist? Despite telling the doctor i was having severe balance issues he did not test my balance at all as is described by the NHS as part of a basic neurological exam, and continued to prescribe my drugs I told him I had already tried which had not worked, at ridiculous doses. Not being given any way to contact them should this not work for me, he gave me six months worth of trying it. Im sorry, but if you were suffering from debilitating headaches, tremors, dizziness and even passing out, would you wait six months for something to not work like it has in the past? I don't think so. Furthermore I fin it frankly offensive that after telling him I did not take drugs recreationally of any kind, he commented in his report that i didnt drink alcohol and 'claimed' not to take drugs. Well excuse you sir, I find that unacceptable. Should these pills not work, and I doubt they will, I will be returning to my GP to ask for a referral to get a second opinion from someone not quite so insulting. Frankly, waiting two months for a five minute appointment in which I was ignored and offended is not on!
