"Trauma & Orthopaedic Day Surgery"

I had shoulder surgery on New Year's eve as a day case. Having had very bad experiences in Southmead hospital in 2005 and 2006, I was very apprehensive. I need not have worried. Everyone, reception staff, surgeon, anaesthetist, theatre staff, recovery room staff, and day surgery staff, were professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and everything was explained to me as we went along. I found out (through general conversation), that the nurse looking after me following my return to my room, should have finished their shift at 7pm. I did not leave until 7.45pm. At no point did I feel pressured to leave, or that they did not want to be there. The room was spotlessly clean. Thank you everyone.
