"Thank you for my miscarriage care at Princess Royal Hospital"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

Sadly I had to have a medically assisted miscarraige on the two weeks ago. During a routine check, it was discovered that my baby's heart had stopped beating.

I just want to thank the nurse at the Early Pregnancy Detection Unit (Teresa), the surgical nurse that looked after me that day, the night duty midwife (Anna) and the midwife that discharged me the next day.

I couldn't believe the incredible care I received - they all treated me with care and compassion that helped ease the pain of what was happening that day. I was really impressed with the treatment I received, the level of service, the quality of the room I was in and the overall cleanliness of the hospital.

Thank you for your comments on services in your area. NHS West Kent, your Primary Care Trust has set up an initiative, The Health Network to let you have more say in how services are provided locally. Becoming a member means you can learn about the Primary Care Trust and the wider NHS, share and discuss your experiences of healthcare, give suggestions for improving services and have a chance to debate local issues about patient and public involvement. The Health Network gives members the opportunity to join review groups which comment on PCT strategies, policies and literature or simply sign up for information updates. Members can put in as little or as much time as they like; and may have the opportunity to work with doctors, nurses, therapists and planners in the early stages of planning new services and in fields in which they have a particular interest.
