"Varicose vein operation -amazing care!"

I was recently on for a day for varicose vein stripping on both legs. I'm 28 and was my first operation so was a little nervous, as was my girlfriend! The staff really relaxed us , they were so friendly and helpful. We had a room with bed and toilet to wait for surgery for 2 hours. During that time 3 nurses, the anaesthetist and surgeon came to see is to explain what was going to happen. After the surgery I stayed I for 5 hours so the nurse looking after me could check on the bleeding. The hospital was so clean and modern it was really reassuring. The staff were amazing and it made all the difference,making time to talk to us and were so friendly. We were also left very clear on the recovery at home which was great. I can only speak for our experience, but would definitely recommend the ward! Thanks again to everyone who looked after us.
