"The attitude was poor"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I visited a and e recently and it was very very busy. this was not an issue to me I know there are people with greater needs than myself.

After waiting around an hour a doctor came in and shouted several names including myself, I was taken into a room asked about 2 questions was given no examination despite being in great pain, I had not been triaged!

I was sent to X-ray along with lots of other people X-ray was under lots of pressure as that said doctor had cleared everyone into X-ray to avoid breaches of time! ! ! When my X-ray results were back I was told to go home and "wait" for my problem to resolve at this point I'm crying and in great pain!

I told the doctor I wasn't happy to go home as my issue had been ongoing for 14 days despite treatment for other professionals! But I was told and I quote " you can sit here all night but we won't do anything! " Disgusting treatment I feel! !

My concerns and feelings were irrelevant to the doctor as long I feel as the numbers look good on them then I guess that's all that matters.

Dear Ktlou

I am very sorry to hear about your experience in the A&E Department. I would be grateful for the opportunity speak to you and then feed back to the doctor who saw you and I wonder if you would be prepared to let us know your name so that we can work out who it was. My secretary's number is 01522 573382.

Regards

Dr D Flynn
