"MCU medway hospital- midwifed"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Well, given the amount of time I spend in this hospital due to kidney problems, I know the hospital well. In my current pregnancy I have been really poorly and have been a frequent visitor at the MCU & delivery suite. These ladies are amazing. The ward manager is such a positive lady. (She is also hilarious) The midwife I see knows her stuff. The midwife from Newcastle, all the ladies at MCU. I had a severe infection and almost had to deliver my baby. The midwives were amazing. They kept me calm every step of the way & most importantly their quick reactions ensured I received quick treatment. These ladies are rushed of their feet, never stopping & always smiling. Can't be easy. Nothing is too much trouble. Even when I have been in a ward, these ladies have gone out of their way to see how I am. That's what you call service at a personal level! They all have families and they are all human too. I think people forget all this and they are very quick to judge this hospital. I couldn't wish for better ladies to look after me and my unborn baby. I'll be sad to not see them! Huge well done to you all. Not forgetting the staff member on the delivery suite. Amazing lady. Thanks for everything you have all done for me. Liz Sanchez x

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on the care that you have received here at Medway. I am very proud of my staff who work here, their commitment to caring for our mothers is never in doubt and I am not at all surprised that they are humorous but remain professional. I hope that you are enjoying the new addition to your family Karen McIntyre Head of Midwifery & Gynaecology Nursing
