"Excellent A&E service at Hexham"

About: Hexham General Hospital

My 2 year old grandson became very ill when visiting us last Sunday. He developed a fever of 98.5 we were advised to visit Hexham A&E and were given a time in the early evening. The Doctor saw us as soon as we arrived and could not have been kinder or more thorough in his examination and treatment. Hexham is exactly what we hope for if we need emergency care and we are so grateful to have such a hospital near to us.

Response from Hexham General Hospital

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you so much for this very kind feedback. The emergency care team will be delighted to know just how much you have valued the kind and swift attention they gave your little man. Those sudden fevers can feel so frightening can’t they ? I do hope your son is feeling much better now and looking forward to a visit from Santa. Best wishes Annie
