"Excellent care"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I had been extremely apprehensive about using the maternity services in lincolnshire. My husband had even wanted me to transfer care to Notts. I decided against this due to the long journey I would have whilst in labour. I am so pleased I did. I had excellent care throughout. From arrival to the early assessment through to the labour ward (from where I was discharged). Every single member of staff was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I was offered compassionate and competent care which was communicated brilliantly. Both my husband and I were treated well and involved in all decision making. I was given 1:1 midwife care throughout and 2:1 at birth. My midwife was warm and caring and well experienced making me feel confident I was in capable hands. The atmosphere on the ward was lovely and there appeared to be a culture whereby the staff had good relationships and all seemed willing to step in to help. I am looking forward to returning to the dept to pass on my views ( and eat my words - regarding my initial view).
