"Poor encounter when trying to book appointment"

About: NHS England London

(as the patient),

I called to make an appointment with my GP of 20 years for a consultation as I've been on the same medication for over a year. I wanted to book something in advance (as I normally do) the receptionist was new... I'd never spoken to her before.

Initially she sounded like she did not even want to speak to me, interrupted me constantly, asked for me to explain why I wanted to see the doctor and that I could not see the Doctor today...I did not ask to see a doctor today! I informed her of who my dr was and again was interrupted to be told that the dr was off for a month - no alternative was offered in fact it was the worst encounter I'd had with the surgery - I've been a patient since I was 12 years old and am now in my 30's!

The receptionist then decided to start calling me darling which I think is really inappropriate, especially in contrast to her vile approach to my call about an appointment.

I would never complain unless I really felt I had to, this employee needs training or something as I am now a very unhappy patient, who is yet to make an appointment - I could not continue talking with her! ! Don't work in care if you don't care!
