"Still waiting for a call back regarding my physio appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I was referred for physio for my back and after several weeks was contacted and given a choice of area, PRH or Madeley. I chose Madeley as it is near where I live. They told me I had wait for a call from Madeley. The call never came. I am now back at work but still in pain. No one followed up but now I don’t know when I would have time to go as I work part time and have a small child.

Dear Cairo575

I am disappointed to hear that you are still awaiting an appointment. TRAQS are unable to book directly into the clinics at Maddocks Physio Clinic - Madeley and therefore we pass the referrals, electronically, directly to the clinic who contact the patient depending upon the waiting time.

The current waiting time for a routine appointment at Maddocks is 5 weeks and Maddocks send a letter asking the patient to ring to arrange an appointment when they are able to offer an appointment date/time.

As all comments are anonymous I am unable to check when the letter was passed to Maddocks.

If you wish to contact the clinic they will take some details from you and check to see if any letters were sent to the address provided by your GP practice.

If you do not have the contact number please contact the TRAQS team during office hours who will be able to help you.

Thank you for providing feedback to the TRAQS team.
