I was admitted for tests in October. The nursing staff were always kind and helpful. Whilst the doctors were also kind and considerate, they did not explain properly what tests were being done, why they were being done or what the results were. I am not sure why I am being expected to go back for a follow up appointment as they haven't explained this to me. Part of the reason for my stay was to monitor my temperature, as I have had a fever, but my room was very cold. It was actually completely unheated, with cold air blowing into it all night, so the temperature in the night was close to outside temperatures (about 5 to 10 degrees C). Unsurprisingly, after 4 days my temperature had dropped so low in the night that I had borderline hypothermia. Now back at home, I have a fever again. Only on the last night of my stay did a nurse notice the room temperature, and found out that there was a problem with the heating which maintenance staff were looking into.
"Kind, caring staff, but very cold room on John..."
